Avoid Strength, Attack Weakness: Striking Where the Enemy is Most Vulnerable. - Sun Tzu
America will not fall at the end of a gun but by the indifference of its people. They shall find themselves captive within their own Nation by foreign invaders, and the grand cities will be trampled underfoot by the unrestrained hordes crossing their open borders.
In their obscure book Unrestricted Warfare, Colonels Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) provide a clear picture of what lies ahead for America. They recommend focusing China’s resources on America’s critical weak points. The reasoning is straightforward: attacking these weak points is a more effective and efficient use of China’s resources than a direct attack on America’s military. Why would they publish their plan to defeat America? They know America has become arrogant. Americans don’t read. Most Americans have never heard of this book and don’t care about these topics. Even if they had read it, no American would have taken it seriously because it can't happen here, right?
As per the Colonels’ book, here are the factors that will cause America’s final demise:
· Warfare is no longer confined to the battlefield or traditional military engagements. Instead, it includes political, economic, technological, and psychological strategies. It will be fought in large cities first, then spread across the rest of the Nation.
· Asymmetric tactics will exploit America’s weaknesses, including guerrilla tactics, terrorism, and other unconventional methods. Open borders are now being exploited for future asymmetric tactics. The next time, demonstrators will not be using bricks; instead, they will be using guns, not as an organized battle, but as an act of disobedience.
· Globalization and technological advancements have created new vulnerabilities and opportunities for unconventional warfare. Cyber warfare and information operations are cost-effective and have no direct link to the perpetrators. Everything we do is online. Take down the internet, and you take down America.
· Non-military methods, such as cyber-attacks, economic manipulation, and media warfare, are as effective as traditional military tactics. These methods are designed to disrupt and weaken an America without direct combat. No internet, no commerce. No commerce, no food.
· The distinction between wartime and peacetime is irrelevant. China employs continuous low-intensity warfare tactics that operate below the threshold of traditional war.
· Economic measures, such as trade wars, financial manipulation, and sanctions, achieve China’s strategic objectives without resorting to military action.
· China controls information and influences public opinion. Media manipulation and psychological operations are seen as critical components of modern warfare.
· Traditional legal and ethical constraints on warfare are outdated. China will employ any means necessary to achieve its strategic goals, regardless of international norms and laws. Chivalry is dead.
· China is integrating civilian and military resources to create a comprehensive strategy for national defense, leveraging private sector capabilities and infrastructure for strategic purposes. By buying products from China, you are directly supporting their strategic goals. Americans now accept this as normal.
Those with a discerning eye may notice many of these indicators in our current news headlines. Here are a few examples:
According to estimates, up to 75% of new products sold on Amazon come from China.
China’s propaganda outlet, China Daily, has reportedly paid millions of dollars to some of the most influential US newspapers and publications to dominate the global narrative. China will never let America forget that Taiwan is Chinese.
American sports and Hollywood figures are being controlled by Chinese sponsorship.
Considering these thoughts, David Kilcullen highlights similar beliefs in his book, The Dragons and the Snakes, where he defines how non-Western adversaries have adapted and evolved in response to Western military dominance. His book highlights that non-state actors, "Snakes" like terrorist groups, and state actors, "Dragons" like China and Russia, have evolved their military strategies and tactics in response to Western military practices since the end of the Cold War. They now employ hybrid warfare, combining conventional military force with irregular tactics, cyber warfare, and information operations, creating a multifaceted threat that is difficult for traditional American military forces to counter.
China’s strategy disregards American political parties, as it will persist with its asymmetric tactics until its goals are met. For the average American, finding a politician willing to speak openly about the China problem is highly unlikely. Much like the Social Security Program's downfall, the problem seems too complex for our politicians to address openly. While America engages in trivial arguments on mainstream and social media, significant issues will remain unspoken until it is too late. Whoever sees the signs and does not heed their warnings, if they are led away in chains to the gulags, their blood and the blood of their children shall be upon their own head.
